An all-too-typical Sunday afternoon:

So, we started out for a Sunday bike ride. Note: we are all CLEAN when we're getting ready to go. Cleaner-looking than usual, some might say. It was a beautiful afternoon, and we headed out for dinner and the park on the bikes. Wylie loves hanging in the garage with Adam, and he has become pretty fond of his bike chariot- knowing that oftentimes we end up someplace fun after the ride.

We rode on the trail, ate dinner, spent some time at the park, and headed home. On the way home, Wylie was SILENT. It seemed a little unusual, but an optimistic side of us thought he might just be peacefully snoozing, or watching the world go by- finally content to sit still (ha!). Instead, when we pulled into the driveway, we found that Wylie had gotten ahold of a container of yogurt, and had a party, of sorts. These pictures might not be for the faint of heart, or for the clean-freak types out there. I know for a fact that this will give Bonzo and Papa nightmares.

As we stripped Wylie down, and started to hose out the bike carrier, both Adam and I were laughing so hard we were crying.

"Is this what you thought we would be like as parents?", I ask Adam.

To which he replies, "Sarah, this is what we always have been like. If someone lined up a set of pictures of babies before Wylie got here, and included this baby, with granola and yogurt in his hair, squealing in his bike carrier, naked with his socks on, our friends would say- THAT is Sarah and Adam's baby!".
