A looooong October:

As you can see, we started carving pumpkins a HOT weekend in September.  Wylie is even in his shorts!  We were just so ready for fall, and so excited for the holiday season, we got carried away.  Although I ended up being a little burned out about Halloween by the time it arrived, we really had a great time.

We had big Alida and Alan over to carve pumpkins, went to the children's museum Halloween Bash, visited with Becca, went to pumpkin patch(es!), and played with Wylie's neighbor pals all month long.  Best of all, Dad and Patti came to trick-or-treat with us.  They were able to see how wild and crazy our neighborhood gets for the holiday.  It's one of the days of the year I love our neighbors, and our neighborhood the most.  Where else do ALL of the adults dress up just to hand out candy?

Note:  My dad even dressed up in costume for Wylie, as a baseball coach:)
