Yesterday, we took Wylie to the 18 week ultrasound. Adam told him he was going to get to see a picture of Yoyo.... which sounds pretty exciting. Unfortunately, the grey fuzzy screen was not nearly as exciting to Wylie as it was to see the heap of blue goop they glob on before the ultrasound, or the sound of the heartbeat (which he said sounded like aliens). After a lot of looking, the tech found out that Yoyo is a girl. We were not rooting for either sex, but it was surprising news, since we had ALL been calling Yoyo a boy! Wylie still can't wrap his head around the fact that Yoyo is a girl baby... except to occasionally say, "he is a boy?". That's close!
Last night was also our five year wedding anniversary. Awesome to know that we made it this far, and that we're happier than ever. It certainly makes it easier to know that I am married to my best friend, a jack-of-all-trades, a wonderful dad, a handsome partner, and the funniest/goofiest guy I know. I wonder where Wylie gets his sense of humor?

Welcome to our adoption adventure! Our son, Wylie Garrett was born on April 19th, 2009 and adopted on April 22nd. Both of these days are some of the biggest our little life will know. Update! Our daughter, Alida James, was born February 7th, 2012. We'll keep you posted on her as well:)

Congrats guys!!! When I told Baleigh that you guys were going to have a baby girl she said - LIKE ME?! The kids are very excited to hear updates on all your exciting news. They are very fascinated with baby stuff lately. Couldn't be happier that you are having a baby girl.
