We thought we would surprise Mom and Bob for their 25th wedding anniversary, and all take a trip to visit them. Ta Da! Right?
What we didn't realize is that it was their 24th anniversary.... leading them to wonder why we were making such a big deal out of their anniversary when most years simply yield a card! But nevertheless, they were THRILLED to have Addy and Wylie for three days of southern fun.
We spent most of the time at the park, and on walks- and Wylie and Addy LOVED tossing rocks into the lake. It was a picture perfect weekend. And although Wylie sees Addy and Jeff and Tennelle a few times each week, staying in the house with them for a weekend increased his need for cousin time- and he asked for Addy the entire way home!
Does my mom look like the happiest Grandma on the planet, or what?!
