So, we do our best to try to be environmentally concious. There are some things we are good at- recylcing, composting- and other things we could be better at, like gardening to grow our own veggies (we're really going to try this summer!!), and eating less meat to reduce our carbon footprint (this is especially hard for Adam!).
We hope that when Wylie gets here, we're ready to do the best we can to have a pretty green baby. So we've gotten our cloth diapers ready to go (wish us luck on this one) and we are all about the hand-me-down's to close the gap on consumerism. And we had two awesome finds in the last two weeks! One is that we didn't have a dresser for Wylie and were REALLY dreading buying something new if we could avoid it. So we found this ancient dresser in the garage when we moved in, and we spent a weekend stripping it, sanding it, and cleaning it to repaint it especially for Wylie. Besides new drawer pulls, it all recycled and reused!
Then my sister Annette gave us HEAPS of baby clothes from our nephew Edward. Just this week, I got a nesting bug and decided to wash all of them, and sorted them out wtih Mombo. Here Grendel sits with our mountains of clothes- we can't thank you enough, Annette!!
(for those of you having a boy next- let us know if you're into reusing things, and we'll be sending you a heap of Wylie's clothes!)
We are counting down the minutes until Wylie is here!
Quick Addison update: Tennelle has been in the longest labor Indy has ever seen, and still has not had sweet Addy- she's hanging in there!! So pray for a speedy delivery!

The dresser looks GREAT Sarah! As long as you have plenty of one piece outfits for the summer and pjs you are SET. Comfort is priority number one and the way they get those things messy, you'll need plenty!
Sorry to hear things are going so slow for Tennelle. Give her our love. I know she must be totally exhausted. I hope she is able to get tons of rest.

Love being green!! We hit the consignment shops on a regular basis. Also have gotten some good stuff from freecycle.org Little Wylie will be here before you know it!
